About Our Firm

Richard "Blake" Cheek

Richard Cheek

Richard “Blake” Cheek is a partner at the Law Office of Partin and Cheek, where he represents clients in a wide range of matters in both North Carolina state and federal courts. His practice focuses primarily on general litigation and Social Security Disability law, helping individuals navigate challenging legal issues and pursue the benefits and outcomes they deserve.
A native of Wilkes County, North Carolina, Blake grew up working in his family’s businesses, where he learned the value of hard work, personal relationships, and treating people with respect. Those early experiences shaped his approach to practicing law and continue to influence the way he serves his clients today. Blake believes that every client deserves to be heard, informed, and strongly advocated for throughout the legal process.

Blake earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2010 and received his Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law in 2014. While in law school, he gained valuable experience through internships with the Iredell County District Attorney’s Office and the Law Office of Bill Baity, Jr.

After graduating and being admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2014, Blake began his legal career with the Law Office of DiRusso & DiRusso in Mount Airy, where he practiced until 2017. He then joined attorney Jack Partin and became a partner in the firm in 2019.

When he’s not practicing law, Blake enjoys spending time outdoors, whether fishing, hiking, or traveling with his family. He is also an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering on his favorite teams. Most importantly, he values the time spent with his wife and their three children.
